make the film more mainstream
Tale
Art the Clown is set to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting citizens of Miles County as they peacefully fall asleep on Christmas Eve. Director Damien Leone has stated that several major studios have shown interest in financing this film based on the unexpected success of Terrifier 2 (2022), even without a completed script, but he has turned them all down because he is sure they would never let him shoot the first part. scene alone, which he describes as “very controversial”. Leone has commented that the only reason he can be so uncompromising in his portrayal of horror and gore is that he finances his films independently, creates all the special effects himself to keep costs down, and doesn’t have a major studio breathing down his neck. Mia says that the 5th anniversary of the original massacre was coming up soon, but it happened on Halloween, and this film set on Christmas 5 years later would mean the anniversary was just 2 months ago.
Next up is Terrifier (2016)
.. Julia’s Brother: Julia, I thought, I told you to stay away from my -[Art kills him with an axe]. There is an uncut version of the film that runs 2 hours and 25 minutes and contains 5 scenes… Art by Drew Fulk, Joe Occhiuti, Paul Wiley, Spencer Charnas and Steve Sopchak Performed by Ice Nine Kills and Shavo Odadjian. If you’re looking for blood, look no further!
Terrifier 3 had all the blood we wanted!
However, if I’m being honest, none of the kills beat the salt scene in Terrifier 2. Overall, I would say there are more kills and bloodshed than the second film, but none of the kills (not even the major ones) were as over the top as the second film. Another thing, half of the kills are left to your imagination because half of them happen off-screen or have already happened by the time the camera pans to the scene. This was very disappointing because a lot of the “major customs” should have been shown because they were supposed to be emotional. Story-wise, I think I liked the second movie better because the pacing of this movie was a bit off.
Ultimately, the last 20 minutes really let me down
Between the time jumps, Siena’s storyline, and Art’s storyline, the pacing wasn’t right. It also built up very little of Art’s or Siena’s story. There seemed to be a lot of pause between each kill. You also never build an emotional connection with any of the characters in this movie except Sienna. Hardly any of the kills are shown on screen, and trust me, those kills should have been shown.
Overall, I would say Terrifier 2 was better
Art the Clown, Pennywise, and Killer Klowns are just a few of the comical creatures that send shivers down your spine. Check out the scariest clowns that grace the screen.
