Tale
Art the Clown is ready to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they sleep peacefully on Christmas Eve
Director Damien Leone said that several major studios have shown interest in financing this film based on the unexpected success of Terrifier 2 (2022), even without a full script, but he has turned them all down because he is sure not would never let him film the opening scene alone, which he describes as “very controversial”. Leone has commented that the only reason he can be so uncompromising in his depiction of horror and gore is because he finances his films independently, creates all the special effects himself to keep costs down, and has no major studio breathing on his neck to make more popular movie.. Mia mentions that the 5 year anniversary of the original massacre was coming up soon but it happened on Halloween and this movie taking place on Christmas 5 years later would mean that anniversary just passed 2 months ago..
There is an uncut version of the film that runs 2 hours and 25 minutes with 5 additional scenes
Julia’s Brother: Julia, I thought I told you to stay away from -[Art kills him with the axe] . Includes Terrifier 2 (2022). A work of art, written by Drew Fulk, Joe Occhiuti, Paul Wiley, Spencer Charnas and Steve Sopchak, performed by Ice Nine Kills and Shavo Odadjian.
Me: Have you heard of Friday the 13th?
Everyone rates this movie a 1: no story; it’s just an excuse for gore. Each sequel is kids going to camp (or New York, or outer space LOL) and getting killed in increasingly creative ways. You’d think that anyone watching the third installment of the Terrifier franchise would know what to expect from this movie.
There are some very imaginative kills – to the point where you wonder who even thinks of these things – which add shock and dark humor that fans will appreciate
With that said, there’s no real plot other than Art being on a holiday killing spree; this time, he is accompanied by Victoria instead of The Little Pale Girl from the second film. While the entire film is perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing (the Christmas look looks great and the gore/effects are more realistic), I prefer the raw and raw feel of the original. There isn’t a fantastical, supernatural aspect to it like Terrifier 2, which I didn’t care for anyway, so this film is a nice return to form for Art and his victims.
Good opening sequence with plenty of suspense, good screen time for Art’s antics, good climax and conclusion that sets the stage for Terrifier 4 (which has already been confirmed)
See!
