Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull air
Men and women live in a vast underground force with various rules that they believe protect them from the toxic and ruined world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season one covers the first 30 chapters of “The Wave” – the book has 82 chapters. The fans on the floor spin in the wrong direction in various episodes, depending on the orientation of the blades.
I just started watching this series
Featured in WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 You Need to Watch (2023). Something stood out right from the start. The sound of the actors’ voices is very clear. My compliments to sane people, this is a small miracle.
It’s rare to hear actors’ voices with such beautiful clarity
I very often have trouble hearing what actors say in TV shows and movies. Maybe it has to do with the acoustics of the force? But I don’t think it’s down to the great work of the sound engineers who record and edit the actors’ voices. It’s almost like hearing actors’ voices in a theater, it’s so beautiful.
I really enjoyed it
I’ve been through a few episodes now and I’m enjoying the acting and the story. There are good characters well-represented, and gradually something about the history and operational details of the silo is revealed. I’m still not sure where it’s all going, but it’s definitely keeping me engaged. I just finished the first season.
There’s a significant element at the end that is identical to the reveal that happens in the movie
To avoid spoilers, I won’t say the name of the movie, but I’m sure others will know which one I’m referring to if they’ve seen it. It didn’t affect my appreciation of Silo in any way, and in any case, I’m not sure who came up with the idea first, since I don’t know when the book on which Silo is based was written.
