I’m sure this movie was made with great care and love, BUT what it lacked the most, in my opinion, was BREATHING. Opera singers learn to control their breathing to charm us. And I agree with other, less favorable reviews, that the first scene was really a bad example of backing vocals, especially because I couldn’t see Miss Jolie breathing! Of course, La Callas lived a glamorous life, but it seemed to me that the focus was more directed. to the visual in this film. This is a film that made me stop watching it until the end, and I’m very sorry for it.
