Tale
CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic version of weapons handling, house-clearing, positioning, squad-based action, etc… Best New Show, after the disappointing 4th season of Jack Ryan and all the lackluster shows, this one was much better in every way.
Great acting by all
It looks really good and the action/fight scenes are amazing. It seems to me that most of the criticism of this show in the comments section boils down to how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operator thing, and I don’t mind a good female-led action show that’s an original IP that doesn’t make the male lead female, man. I also haven’t seen any red flags so far, like every male seems incompetent or something.
it needs to be developed more so they can do something new
Also, at first I thought it was going to be more of an action show, but then they got a little more into the family and I usually cringe at that, but I didn’t like what they were doing there. The criticism is that the plot of what this specific group of operators does is too limiting to the story and can kill you if you get past the season’s plot/villain… Homeland is intense and fast paced, otherwise it risks being too episodic like Blacklist.
We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show
PS: So far, Nicole Kidman’s role is incredibly small and uneventful and could have been played by anyone else… But from what I’ve seen so far, the show could stand on its own with Zaldana without any other A-listers. TLDR Overall Cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’m seeing so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
