As we prepare for House of the Dragon, we remember the genius that was Game of Thrones. Seasons 1-6 are truly remarkable television series, on par with The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Wire, the best of the best.
A rushed, spoiled, lazy ending, and a slap in the face to fans new and old
Season 7 was of lower quality, but still somewhat enjoyable, and then came season 8, which was a mistake of epic proportions. Still, nothing can take away from the wild, brilliant, emotional ride that is seasons 1-6 of Game of Thrones, the television series that defined a decade and changed popular culture forever.
I like to believe it was canceled after season 6 and that we’ll never see the real ending 😉
