Tale
On the brink of the 1989 revolution in Romania, six destinies intersect amidst protests and personal struggles that lead to the explosive fall of Ceausescu and the communist regime. The film presents several plots that take place in December 1989, just before the outbreak of the revolution in Bucharest. The plots may seem to have nothing in common except fear and hatred of the communist regime and the film may seem boring, but once the plots start to connect, the film turns into a masterpiece. The atmosphere of the film takes the viewer back to those times and in those who lived through those days, it evokes mixed feelings of nostalgia, sadness and a strange sense of happiness (perhaps because we remembered family, friends and the bright side of our childhood). The production style is a bit reminiscent of Crash (2004). Bravo to all the actors for a great performance and thanks, Bogdan Muresan, for a great film!
